Our approach

Co-designed with the communities we serve.

We model cost-effective, meaningful youth engagement through data-driven, need-based and impact-oriented community organizing, building the capacity, resources and coordination of children, youth, women, people with disabilities and vulnerable communities. We collaborate with young people, the community, civil society organisations, institutions, public and private entities, and local and national governments to co-design and operate our holistic programmes, embedded in four distinct and intersecting thematic areas that integrate into replicable, scalable and sustainable peace and development.

Our core values

What guides everything we do.

Equity and Inclusivity

Children, youth, women and people with disabilities belong at the table, with fair access to opportunity.

Integrity and Accountability

We act honestly and answer to the communities, partners and supporters we serve.

Partnership and Collaboration

We co-design with communities, institutions, government and the private sector.

Innovation and Creativity

We test practical new ideas, including technology, to solve local challenges.

Human Dignity and Empowerment

Every person is treated with respect and supported to lead their own change.

Community Leadership

Communities shape and drive the decisions and solutions that affect them.

Sustainability and Cost-Effectiveness

We use resources wisely so impact lasts and can grow.

Our people

A team of youth Fellows and volunteer mentors.

PEPEA Fellows are young people from the same communities, trained to review plans, verify opportunities and follow up personally. Alongside them, volunteer mentors from engineering, technology, gender justice and community development give their time to young people finding their way.
