Our flagship programme

Pathways to Excellence, Professional Development and Economic Agency: PEPEA

PEPEA, Kiswahili for “Fly High”, is our youth-led initiative under the Livelihoods and Economic Strengthening pillar, navigating locally-led solutions to youth unemployment, underemployment and economic insecurity in Kisumu County and beyond. A young person answers honest questions about their skills, time, care duties, phone and plans, and the PEPEA Pathfinder, a mobile web tool that works on everyday phones, turns those answers into a personalised pathway plan with a 30, 60 and 90 day horizon, matching them to verified opportunities as they open. A human PEPEA Fellow reviews every plan, so technology charts the route and a real person walks it with them.
